Mammoth Tooth Jewelry

On this page we have our fossilized mammoth tooth jewelry. The teeth were buried in Siberia and said to be 20 - 50,000 years old. They absorb many colors from the minerals in the soil. They are sliced and stabalized so they will hold their shape and be easier to work with. I then cut the slabs into smaller pieces to make my jewelry. I bond legal ivory on the backs for scrimshawing and added strength. This type of jewelry is very rare and takes many hours to create. Diamond cutters and saws are needed to cut into the teeth and the rest is done by hand. Metal for ear wires and hardware is Argentium Sterling Silver which is almost tarnish resistant and is hand-fabricated by us. As you can see this is another one of God's beautiful creations left for us to appreciate. Do to the natural materials of nature and their age you might find imperfections in the material used. This is what makes these very old items unique.
